Petal Salts started as a winter edition and stayed. The base is the same magnesium and Dead Sea blend as Bath House at a gentler 60 g dose, with whole dried rose petals added — not fragrance, not oil: the petals themselves, which give the water a faint colour and nothing to irritate.
The jar is larger than Bath House at 500 g, which is eight baths. The petals are cosmetic grade and fully biodegradable; they will not clog a drain in normal quantities, but we include a reusable muslin strainer for those who would rather not find out.
Why this piece exists
Petal Salts was the winter edition that refused to retire. The base is Bath House's magnesium and Dead Sea blend at a gentler 60 g dose, and the petals are whole dried rose — not fragrance, not oil, not extract: the petals themselves, which give the water a faint blush and a scent so low you only notice it when you lean down to the surface. That restraint is the point; the product is for people whom scented bath products actively put off.
The muslin strainer ships with the jar because of a comment on our first run: 'lovely bath, now my drain is a compost'. The strainer lets the petals steep and lifts them out whole. It is a small admission that the romantic version of a product and the practical version of a bathroom are different things, and we would rather sell both.

Use and care
Everything we know about keeping it.
Use
Add 60 g to a full bath. If you would rather not fish petals out afterwards, steep the salts in the included muslin bag and lift it out before you get in.
Not for
Broken skin, recent piercings, or anyone advised to limit magnesium intake. Patch test if you are sensitive — petals are plant material, and plants vary.
Storage
Keep the lid on and out of the shower spray. If the salts cake in humidity, break them up with a spoon; the product is unaffected.
Long-term
The strainer is the part to look after: rinse it after each use, wash it weekly, and let it dry open — a damp muslin folded in a jar is a small science experiment waiting for you. The petals in the jar settle and compact over months; give the jar a shake before dosing. If the petals fade from rose to straw colour, they have lost their blush but not their function — the fade is oxidative, not spoilage.
Material safety. Platinum-cured silicone, phthalate-free, non-porous. Clean with warm water and mild unscented soap or a silicone-safe cleanser; avoid alcohol and silicone-based lubricants, which dull a matte finish and can leave a film. Full detail in the materials guide.
