Sleep Oil is Dusk Stone's night sibling, and the difference is the base: where Dusk Stone is jojoba for massage, Sleep Oil is a faster-absorbing squalane-forward blend with a whisper of lavender-infused oil — one drop's worth of lavender in the whole bottle, measurable, so it reads as 'the room is calm' rather than 'I applied a product'.

The violet glass is darker than the amber for a reason: the infusion is light-hungry. Two drops on the neck and wrists, ten minutes before the pillow, and the oil is gone into skin — the two-drop rule is what keeps the pillowcase clean, and the rule is on the dropper collar as a reminder.

Why this piece exists

Sleep Oil's lavender is measurable rather than marketing: the whole 100 ml bottle carries about one drop's worth of lavender-infused oil, which puts the scent below conscious recognition at application distance and above it at pillow distance. That inversion is the design — you apply a nothing and the pillow, ten minutes later, is a something.

The violet glass is the deepest tint we could source, because the lavender infusion is the light-hungriest ingredient in the catalogue. Dusk Stone's amber slows oxidation; violet slows it further. Neither makes the oil immortal — fifteen months is the honest shelf — but the colour is the reason the bottle you open at month twelve still smells like the bottle you opened at month one.

Who it suits

  • The hour after the bath and before the pillow
  • Dusk Stone users who found the massage oil too awake for midnight
  • Pillow-sharers — the two-drop rule keeps it off the case

Who it does not suit

  • Lavender-sensitive skin — the dose is low but the plant is present
  • Evenings that already include Recover Balm; one warming act per night

Use and care

Everything we know about keeping it.

Use

Two drops, neck and wrists, ten minutes before lying down. If the pillowcase shows a shadow, you used four — the oil is not the problem, the dose is.

Not for

Anyone sensitive to lavender, or for use on the same skin that just met Recover Balm — one warming product per evening.

Storage

Out of light entirely; the violet slows the infusion but a sunny sill will age it in a season. Wipe the dropper collar after use.

Long-term

The infusion is what fades first: after a year the lavender is a memory and the oil beneath is still perfectly good squalane, so the honest retirement is olfactory — when the pillow stops noticing, retire the bottle. The dropper collar collects the same tacky film all our droppers do; the same wipe-after-use applies. And the two-drop rule is the whole maintenance manual: the product is strong enough to work at two and messy enough to complain at four.

Material safety. Platinum-cured silicone, phthalate-free, non-porous. Clean with warm water and mild unscented soap or a silicone-safe cleanser; avoid alcohol and silicone-based lubricants, which dull a matte finish and can leave a film. Full detail in the materials guide.

About this piece

Will it stain the pillow?
Not at two drops, absorbed ten minutes before you lie down. The shadow at four drops is the oil landing on fabric before skin finished the job — the rule is on the collar because we learned it the hard way too.
Can I use it during the day?
You can; it is a body oil with a bedtime recommendation. The lavender reads at pillow distance because that is where the dose is tuned to land.
